Defending Miers

Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) and other Democrats have excused their opposition to Judge Alito by likening their dissent to those whom opposed Harriet Miers. Sen. Mikulski expressed her disgust at the 'vitriolic treatment' Judge Miers received from the right. I offered my opinion about the strategic error Democrats made by not speaking earlier in her defense in The Dogs Have Eaten. If ANY Democrat defended Judge Miers, after her nomination and before withdrawal, please show me the documentation. They lionize her now after ignoring her plight earlier.
