Equal Justice Under the Law

"We covet what we see everyday." - Silence of the Lambs

Every day a Supreme Court Justice walks into their court, they see these words etched in stone, "Equal Justice Under the Law." It may sounds trite and tired to many Americans, but there are nine men and women whom hold that composition sacred. They are the guardians, the defenders, and administrators of a third of the United States government; appointed for life to ensure their integrity despite political pressure.

These nine individuals are the crème de la crème of the legal community. After appointment, they are beholden to only justice. Throughout Justice Alito's confirmation, Democrats perpetuated the notion he would be a lap-dog for conservatives. After one ruling, the dog bite the master. Justice Alito sided with the majority (6-3), staying the execution of a Missouri man and voting against the 'conservatives' (Roberts, Thomas, & Scalia).

The Justices of the Supreme Court are nine kings amidst men. They hold their duty sacred (and rightfully so). Will the Democrat lambs stop screaming? Highly dubious.
