Liberal & Tolerant: When Synonyms Collide

My title may be outdated; the left has morphed the 'liberal' moniker into a 'progressive' denotation. The latter may be more apropos with 'imperfect' as a listed synonym, dovetailing with 'fallible', 'frail', and 'weak'.
