John & Ted's Last Stand

The loyalists of the left are making a final stand against Judge Alito. Sen. Kennedy and Sen. Kerry are among Democrats pushing for a filibuster, despite lacking support from the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee (Sen. Leahy D-VT). Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said, "There's been adequate time for people to debate." He added he will support a filibuster but conceded it was unlikely to succeed.

Repeating his usual boilerplate, Sen. Kennedy said, "The nominee is deficient in his commitment ... to individual rights, individual liberties, women's rights and racial equality."

READ: "The nominee is a fascist authoritarian and a sexist bigot."

Sounds like Ms. Gill's rhetoric. As least she's frank. Her comments are featured in Unitary Executive.
