Sex - Double Standards?

A female friend asked me if I see a difference between the way society treats boys and girls. I answered, "Of course."

A common example:
"Women and children first!"
Or an facetious illustration:
"All males should support sexual equality. If a girl hits a boy, he gets to slug her back."

See the difference?
