Apparently the Democrats are thinking about making some hay out of this 'Domestic Spying' issue (a misnomer; it relates to international communications). "We haven't seen this kind of abuse of power since Richard Nixon," said Howard Dean. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales disagrees and put forth a logic similar to mine in a 42 page letter outlining the legality of the program. If the Democrats make security a major election issue again (Vietnam & Kerry), they will lose the same argument again. If Mr. Dean really tries, I think he can completely dismantle the Democrat Party by 2012.
