My Favorite Day

My new issue of Foreign Affairs came today via the mail. Reading the table of contents has made the two month wait worthwhile for me. I'm anxious to read Paul R. Pillar's article.

These are the titles of each selection; they are all updating my knowledge base on issues of interest.
It begins with: Iraq, Then & Now

  • Seeing Baghdad, Think Saigon
  • Intelligence, Policy, and the War in Iraq
  • The Last Exit From Iraq (UK's withdrawal 70 years ago)

Then:

  • The Rise of U.S. Nuclear Primacy
  • The Backlash Against Democracy Promotion (by tyrants)
  • Ensuring Energy Security
  • Can Hamas Be Tamed?
  • Do Targeted Killings Work?
  • Offshoring: The Next Industrial Revolution?
  • China and Japan's Simmering Rivalry (the Rape of Nanking?)
  • Taiwan Fading Independence Movement
  • Two Cheers for Expensive Oil (Hip hip hurray! Hip hip hurray!)
