A Little More About The Author

More available in The Beginning...

To begin, I am the youngest 90 year old man you've ever encountered. I have just walked into my college computer lab in an overcoat and scarf, topped with my fedora and a handkerchief in my pocket. I put on headphones to continue listening to my digital music player with Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald on my playlist (guest appearances by Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong, and Nat King Cole because I've mislabeled some tracks). I love music. I have a lot and enjoy many varieties from many eras.

I majored in history and have a particular interest in 20th century American history. My studies give me a point of reference when dealing with Americans I encounter. I have, at least, some understanding of major events they witnessed. I understand the social and cultural aspects of our nation over the past 100 years and thus have a basic understanding all people living in that time period. Each individual is different and the service industry has sponsored many of my encounters with people of all stripes.

The service industry has fueled some of my cynicism, but it also provided learning experiences (from forced interaction). It also has its share of affable moments; polite tables receive a genuine smile and I have thrice been told I have a melodious voice, befitting broadcasting.
