Oliver Stone is making a bizzaro version of "Why We Fight" by Frank Capra* (in commercial form, though it must be the longest available for purchase).
It must be noted that he was selected by members of MoveOn. This formerly fringe group rose to prominence with the 2004 presidential race (think Dean & the Internet). They are as despised by the right almost as much as Swift Boat Veterans for Truth are by the left. I say almost because the left lost in 2004, leaving them exceptionally bitter, but determined.
MoveOn is now a pillar (financially and organizationally) of the Democrat Party, influencing everything from campaigns through legislation, and that's a chilling thought for moderate America.
