Propaganda v. Perspective

After a computer crash (6 solid years from a $1,200 Sony Vaio, concurrent with $200 in RAM upgrades), I was forced to re-array my internet favorites. Since I don't have cable TV, I look to blogs and news-sites for most current information. Such circumstances precipitated my encountering of Little Green Footballs, a 'conservative' blog (the right is called conservative, the left is called populism, instead of the socialism or anti-hegemon sentiment it represents - Google: Sheehan Chaves, Images).

During my last visit to LGF, I read the following:

Headline: JihadTV: Sneaking Into America

Opening Sentence: Burlington, Vermont has added the world’s primary outlet of slickly-produced jihad propaganda, Al Jazeera, to their city-owned cable television channel.

Al-Jazeera has been one of the most reliable outlets for accurate information from our adversaries. It's a bellwether for understanding the portrayal of current events throughout popular Muslim cultures. While surely appealing to sympathetic doves, it could be a burgeoning source of independent information which casts a light on the brutality of theo-terrorist tactics. They undoubtedly broadcast segments which, if broadly consumed, would infuriate the average American and hopefully expose the ugly reality of Sharia law and the dreamed caliphate.
